Iphone 7 Vs Samsung Galaxy S7
Iphone7 boasts a 12 megapixel wide angle sensor, f/1.8 aperture, focus pixels, quad-LED flash, 4k video recording camera while, Galaxy S7 have 12 megapixel Sony IMX 260 module, f/1.8 aperture, OLS, LED flash, Dual pixels, 4k video. Front camera of iphone7 is 7MP sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 108op recording while Galaxy S7 front camera is 5MP f/1.7 camera, 108op recording.
Every pixel on the Galaxy S7 image sensor has two photodiodes instead of one. The main advantage of this increased pixel count is faster focus. Iphone7 has an improved six element lens. Both phone cameras are great because iphone7 photos will be of a higher resolution, but in low light situations, the Galaxy S7 may fair slightly better.
As always, Samsung shines in the display department. The Galaxy S7 features a rich, colorful 5.1-inch super AMOLED display. Its pixel resolution is 2560 x 1440, which means your pictures will be full of detail and you will be able to watch the Ultra HD videos shot with the camera at full resolution. Furthermore, the display comes coated in corning gorilla glass 4 which should help it to survive drops. Iphone7 has 4.7 inches with lower resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. Apple iphone7 benefits from 3D Touch but it still requires better integration with ios.
Water And Dust Resistance:
Both phones are water and dust resistance. Technically Samsung has achieved the slightly higher rating which means it can survive submersion for up to 30 minutes in 1.5 meter of water while the iphone7 also survive 30 minutes but at a depth of 1 meter. It is not a game changing difference, but if your phone falls into a swimming pool the Galaxy S7 has a fractionally better chance of survival.
Samsung Galaxy S7 is gorgeous with its glass back, metallic finish and aluminum frame. It is pretty, but no prettier than the iphone7. The Galaxy S7 is bigger and heavier than the iphone7, thanks to its larger screen but don’t dismiss the iphone7 as too small, because it is very comfortable to hold and easy to slip into a pocket or bag. The iphone7 has a slim 7.1mm chassis, with antenna banding and is lightweight at just 138g.
Here I think, Samsung Galaxy S7 is a winner because its big screen appears to get you more display for the size and its sleek glass design is simply gorgeous. The iphone7 is attractive, buut the design doesn’t offer enough of a refresh over previous models.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 features a non-removable lithium ion battery, with a cell capacity of 3,600mAh. That results in a talk time of 22 hours, with 62 hours of music playback. On the other hand, iphone7 also features a non-removable battery, with a cell capacity of only 1,960mAh.
Galaxy S7 recharges much faster than the iphone7, thanks to the inclusion of a quick-charge feature. The S7 goes from 0-100% in about 1 hour 15 minutes; with the iphone7, it is closer to 1 hour 30 minutes. The Samsung Galaxy S7 also supports wireless charging _ again something missing from the iphone7.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 runs on Google Android software and the iphone7, by comparision, runs on Apple custom-built iOS10 software. Samsung skin that covers Android is very noticeable because there are some nice additions like, split screen, a more feature rich do not disturb mode and plenty of themes.
Android has it own app store, plus you get to download all the apps from Google Play, while the iphone7 relies on Apple App Store. There are millions of apps in each, so you will never be short of choice no matter the phone you choose. Android is better for power users, and that iOS is your pick-up-and-go alternative.
There is no clear winner here. It is all down to personal preference. But both cell-phones are at a point where they are powerful in different ways. I am sure, you will be happy, whichever way you go.
